Exiting Light

Experience more than born to die
Perhaps, that is my largest lie?
Breaks down, lines streak
Underground drive
Blinding fear through tunnel vision

Exiting light at end of life

Standing in the Way

Dignifying Respects
Paid dues to just remain
Such maddening illusion
Norm standing in the way

*The above 4 Line poem is a response to the Bookstains Challenge called ‘The Art of Progress.’  I suggested the Norman Rockwell painting to Lynda as a challenge idea. She obliged, making it one of the options for the theme of progress.

The following poem was inspired by Trent Chau’s amazing photograph. You can learn more about his photography and take part in the picture prompt challenge today @ One Stop Poetry

Vista to Beholden

Stop watch beyond all points
Wings pan our moments

Given heart’s altitude
Vista to beholden
