It’s Time

Pacing along the riverfront
Perhaps I waste my time
Thoughts are elsewhere I suspect
Can’t fight she’s on my mind

Water shimmers shades of green
Wishing tints it blue
Finally feel like I can breathe
Flower scent in bloom

Idle in my tragic scene
The past not disappearing
Want so much, but can’t believe
Found my home for healing

Made a promise this afternnon
Sweat off my brow ink-smeared
Will never hold back, reveal what’s true
It’s time to face my fears
