The Moment Seized

Took me a decadePhoto 28
Too late?
Realizing I don’t have to
Passively await, procrastinate
Dollars short, checks post date

Clouds parting a sun-shattered gleam
Damask of silver rain-drenched scene

My spirit seems to follow me
Into my dreams
Where illusion grieves palpable
Heaven of hide and seek
Strength and courage will provide
No choice but to seek, no longer hide
Inner most self offered belief
But what in fact do I mind and believe
Telling no futures, neurotic heed
Balanced by bitterness,
Hopes, conceit
A thousand pardons being weak

All I do know
Just a guess
Love and when
Your mind is free
Every day
The moment seized
