Reflective Piers

Paint-fading planks
Imposing rise of time
Split ends upon this earth
Signs I never mind

While intuition may not resist
Our loss amid watery depth
For it speaks unfathomably
Past triumph and tragedy
Indeterminate as a day’s worth
