  1. Very well done, I have yet to attempt a haiku.

  2. Then you must give it a shot! It’s a fun form that challenges. Often twitter is a good source to search for new haiku πŸ™‚

  9. Dustus,

Bravo. This is one of your best haiku yet. I love haiku because of its rooting in nature, but this one is especially wonderful since I live in the Rocky Mountains and know so well the imagery you have chosen. Light and Great Haiku.

    • I have a cousin who lives out in Colorado. She raves about the Rocky Mountains. Unfortunately, I have never seen themβ€”the mountains that is. Glad you enjoyed the haiku, Suzie

  18. Hey trisha. Thanks for stopping by, my friend πŸ™‚

  19. I love how you let the eagle enter the poem the same way it enters the scene – not there at all, then suddenly massive but unresolved, and finally the magnificent bird at rest. A terrific use of the three-line structure and a wonderful depiction of the wild bird!

  20. Appreciate your comment and enjoy your description of the poem. Cheers.

  21. Great, very vivid in so few words.
