4Lines: Low Tide

Thought of quicksand sealed between sunk toes
Sky volcanic orange, peaches, semi-transparent indigo
Tame waves, silhouetted gulls descending glide
As I skip smooth pebbles befriending low tide

  1. You paint a very familar scene for around here during the summer …in the winter too…that kind of the beauty of SoCal…a well done poem.

Adam, I’m so passionate about poetry, to me it seems as though One Shot is doing wonders for many to connect on those same levels in their writing/ as well as art/photography. I loved seeing Shell there contributing too this week, I love her work and she is a darling!!! I look forward to everything posted, its like a dream come true (one I attempted many years ago myself…however I failed then..there wasn’t twitter and sites have involved so much more with visuals/music/and even voice recordings ~ I sort of gave it up online because at the time it seemed poetry was rather set aside) ~ I couldn’t pull it together financially either.
One Shot is the best thing since….Niagara Falls was created ;D maybe! LOL

  3. I’ve never been that far out west, but man does SoCal have that rep for incredible weather. I grew up near The Shore (NJ). I always miss the ocean.
    Thanks, Charles
